naniniwala ako sa dyos.. pero in doubt ako sa religion.

Off topic-

Your avatar is quite graphic. It's not as if it is totally annoying but I am intrigued in your choice.

So you believe in God but you are in doubt of your or a religion.

may comment lang ako dun sa bible na sinasabing batayan...

e... the bible didn't came by fax from heaven diba? it's a work of man, not a work of god. it's prone to manipulations, addition, and omittance of gospels, and the like.. masasabi ba nating credible or historically correct nga yun?

Basing from above; I take it that you are certainly not a fundamentalist Christian. I am a Roman Catholic yet I don't subscribe to everything the Bible says; so there is still a possibility that you are a Christian.

May I be so bold as to ask what your current religion is so we can better gauge where you are coming from? smile.gif

not in MY religion but religion in general. God gave us free will and yet we must follow some set of rules in oder for us to achieve nivana or to be with Him in our afterlife (as suggested in the bible). I can't imagine God ruling us in that way.

what about the non-chistians? hindi na ba sila maliligtas kasi hindi nila alam ang tungkol dun sa bible na sinusunod ng mga christians? what about islamic people? what about our indigenous people? what about the people who practice other religions? there are so many questions that ae very puzzling when it comes to religion. so i doubt about it... is it really necessary?

pero when it come to the existence of God, i belive it...

just my two cents.. pis...

by the way, im baptized as a roman catholic.

If one enjoys doing evil, shouldn't one go where evil reigns?

Abraham, Noah, etc.... weren't Christians. They didn't know the entire Bible. And unlike you and I; they weren't even baptized. Yet Christ descended to hell after his physical death and took them all with him. Of course some of them have stayed there for eons.

Well I don't swallow everything the Church tells. So I'll go out on a limb and say that it is not really necessary for salvation. But as a Roman Catholic, I was also taught that purgatory exists. Some Christian denominations do not believe the same. And I'll be surprised if someone who isn't baptized (besides Mother Mary and another prophet I think. Hey, Jesus Christ himself stayed a while in hell) can go directly to heaven without passing some sort of "holding area".

Ok but that doesn't necessarily mean you still are.

mahirap paniwalaan ang mga abstract concepts.. as well as metaphysical entities.. i'm not an atheist either, pero siguro nga, He exists..

Bt well, it's up to you, you have your own view points.

One question which inevitably comes up in a discussion of this nature is what is the origin of God?

If God created matter/energy, and designed the systems that have propelled matter into its present arrangement, who or what accomplished that for God?

Why is it any more reasonable to believe that God has always “been” than it is to say that matter has always “been”? As people has said, “If we say that God has always been, why not save a step and conclude that the universe has always been?”
