High School Days

Being a high school student is fun a and exciting to some but also and confusing to others. The classes are challenging, but there are fewer social problems than in junior high.

Overall, the good things about high school seem to out weigh the bad things. Things like meeting new people, learning new things, someone always being there to help you, and sports are among the most popular things about high school.

Long days, hard subjects, and fights were among the most difficult parts of high school.

Upward Bound gives students the extra help they need to get through high school. Support includes Saturday meetings to help students get together with other area teens to share their high school experiences, Touch Base to help students keep informed about Upward Bound program information, and Study Plus to help students get the help they need to succeed in their classes.

Each student has their own unique plan after high school but all Upward Bound students plan on going to college.
