I'm bias.. I have to say no.

losing self identity and pride is something I can't live without.

PLUS, I don't like USA.  tambayan/yucky.gif  smile.gif

Ako rin hindi papayag na masakop ng america ang pinas never!!

Noon kami ng mister ko nagpaplano na mag migrate sa states, pero ngayon hindi na never, simula noong giyenira ng US ang Afghanistan at saka last year ang Iraq.

NOW i hate US. please dont get me wrong pero yan ang opinion ko.

welllll,

i think i belive on you, i hate US as well if they want to help they can help without any interest, so many people suffering in this world, they can't help enough but they have lots of weapon, bomb, and etc. they spend belion & belion $ nga nangausik daghan lang gihapon ang nangamatay, daghang mga rebeldi gumikan kay gitumban ang ilang katungod. mao sila magpakamatay nalang sad nga madamay intawon tang mga inosente.ug kung maging communis gani ang isa nga country di sila welcome labaw na ilang business planohan dayong gubuton para musamot ug kagubit nga way kataposan, like iraq, until now many people dying,i dont think soo... minsan lagot lantaw sa mga advertisement nga mga charity, magayo ug hinabang kay himatayon na sila gumikan kay way gikaon. didto unta sila mangayo sa US kwartahan man kaha sila, gamhanan man kaha sila,i think if they rely wnt to hlp people, why spend to much money for the bloody things which are not necsary. .sory pagawas lang sad ko sa akong gibati
nga lagot sad ko sa US gov. not the people. simple akong pasabot if wa gani silay makuhang interest sa nasod di na sila magsinamok, balo bamo naa man ta oil mao nang ningkamot nasad na sila.

Guys,

Don't get me wrong... when I said I don't like USA it doesn't mean I don't like the people. It's quite the opposite. I have a lot of american friends and I like the people. it's the american international policies that I don't like...

Ihalang, Please, don't be offended, but what dialect are you speaking? tambayan/4_6_2v.gif

I am curious what your statement meant. tambayan/4_6_2v.gif unsure.gif

I am some what frustrated of myself for not being able to translate what you just said. tambayan/Christo_pull_hair.gif

It's a mixed visayan dialect(mostly Cebuano, partly Illongo) and roughly means that he doesn't like US policies but not the American public and the US disguised helping through humanitarian aid but there are vested interests along the way, and if the US is not welcomed in a communist country, the US will create havod on that specific country.

So if you have comments about his post, just reply it here, and I will translate it.

There should be no US military bases in the Philippines, they have no business being there anymore. They're occupiers and oppressors! They did enough damage to our country and culture. We should not be even dependent from them! We dont need to kiss their asses!

What do you think why we don't need it now? Do you think our armed forces is capable in defending our country?

I believe we have enough military resource and personnel. Sure, the Americans can try our soldiers but they have no business fiddling around our problems. They always try to find excuses to be in the Philippines.

This one I'm not so sure....What I'm sure is that we lag so much behind with other Asean countries and China who claimed sovereignty of Spratly Islands in terms of firepower.....kahit nga mga pirata hindi natin mahuli dahil ang luluma na ng mga sea vessels natin sa Philippine Navy.

I think, that's natural for them to twiddle our affairs, for example(if we happen to put a military base in Bangladesh, do you think we won't interfere their internal problems just to come-up a solution favorable to us?

If the US interferes our internal problems if the US bases are here, I think that should really up to us how we play their games in our favor...we should be smart now learning from our past...I assume. smile.gif

Lacking firepower? I agree but what can you do with the lagging economy? No upgrades. But we have the necessity for manpower which is alot more important in hunting down extremist down south.

Spratly may be resourceful set of islands but I dont think its worth the fight with our current state of economy and military...Its no use going against China and even Vietnam, we should wait to until we actually have some muscles to flex.

Maybe we should improve the economy first that will eventually result to better military hardware upgrades. hehe those Pirates will think again!

Thats why we should remove any US military bases in the Philippines. We can even established a healthy relationship with the US even without their bases over there.

Well, I was just stating flatly that I doubted/beg to disagree on your statement that you believe we have enough military resource and personnel.

Spratly may not worth the fight, but if they won after that, what's next? it's not about the spratly's, it's about stopping them to conquer our other islands further...Yeah I agree, we should wait till our economy improves, but what if they'll make their moves while we're waiting(well, Vietnam now already build an airstrip)....so pwedi naman nating gamitin muna ang US, pampabara baga...gamitan lang yan eh. biggrin.gif

I agree, we can still establish healthy relations with them without their military bases....but at the time that we are muscled enough to defend ourselves from other countries.... so as for the meantime......
