Its been great to have an aquarium and look into it. But what is very enticing is to focus your attention into a man made creature with all the characteristics of a pure strain cichlids but with additional features that carries into its blood.

I have morethan a dozen of flower and this are the following:
1. Red General
2. Red Renaissance Sparkel
3. Red Mercury
4. Red Crystal
5. Red Dragon
6. Buddhist Pearl
7. Super Tender
8. Golden Dude
9. Spirited Louhan

Im currently making an experimental breeding crossing some of the abovemention strain.

I'll keep it posted when they start breeding.....

Rcuevas,

Welcome here in Pinoy's Tambayan

I've seen pictures of those FH pets ang they're really beautiful.

My question is, how big should be the glass tank if I want to have five FH and how big they grew when matured.

I would suggest that you have to atleast have 2 x 75gls tank and divide it to 3 per 75 gls...

It would be better for those juvenile flowerhorn to be living separately for them to sufficiently eat the food you are giving them. It would be hard for them to be reared in a community of 5 since this hybrids are so agressive and bully.

Flowerhorn can grow as big as a plate meaning atleast 12-15 inches...

Hi sweet, kaw pa ang lakas mo sa mga FHM!

Hindi po advisable, though pareho silang hybrid, highly agressive ang flowerhorn.....better if they are living a solitary life.....

May mga classes fo ang flowerhorn, dapat tignan mabuti ang mga sumusunod:
1. kok (nuchal head)
2. plum markings -straight or one straight dragon
3. body shape
4. eyes
5. color
6. fins
7 pearls
if abovemention is satisfied, your in for a grade AAA flowerhorn and it can win a competition.

Those markings being seen in the body of flowerhorn was made by nature and it was brought out from its forefather TRIMACULATUS which do have have plum marks. It would be very lucky of you if you can buy one with a mark equivalent to a chinese character or arabic characters depicting good meaning.

The prices of flowerhorn will depend on the total look of it.

expect to pay much more for class "A" flowerhorns. also, IMO, fishes sold at bio-research are overpriced.
